Attempting to claim the mid-range market, Palm has introduced the
m125. Although the m125 looks very similar to the m105 and the m100 there
are many discernable differences. For one it sports the same universal
connector and processing chip as the m500 models (Motorola DragonBall VZ
MC68VZ328 33 MHz). The universal connector will let you plug-in
accessories such as the digital camera and newer model keyboards.
With two AAA batteries the Palm m125 will run for approximately two
months. An updated operating system (Palm OS 4.0) and a faster
(Motorola) processing chip will allow for faster search speeds (especially
noticeable for large databases) and the speed at which you can play games.
The nicest feature with the m125 model is the amount of software
included with purchase. You will be able to access Word, Excel, and Powerpoint documents with
DataViz Documents To Go Standard Edition 3.0 and organize your day-to-day life
with Palm's easy-to-use date book, address book, and note pad. Also you
can install an e-mail application if you choose to go online through your
cell phone. (Includes a bevy of other programs as well).
The most welcomed addition to the mid-range line by Palm is the
expansion slot. The expansion slot will allow you to save vast amounts of
data and it increases the versatility of this handheld.
The biggest advantage of buying the Palm m125 and any Palm product in
general is the extensive online support you can receive through their
comprehensive database (Official site, which includes many downloadable
programs). Also, 1 year warranty doesn't hurt either.
