The newest economically priced handheld by Palm is anything but
economic when it comes to the bevy of features it offers with an
investment into a Palm m105.
It offers 4 times the memory (8mb) compared to its predecessor the
m100. This allows for you to store over 6,000 addresses, over 5 years of
appointments, and over 1500 memos. Plus you receive the Palm™ Mobile
Internet Kit which will let you long onto the internet with your
cell-phone (purchase of Palm online plan sold separately and sells for
$9.99 - $44.99).
As with all newer palm pilots the m105 also serves as an alarm clock (a
nice feature for the executive on the go). And with the standard HotSync®
cradle sold with every new palm pilot you will be able to back up all your
important memos, appointments, and addresses.
The nicest feature with the m105 model is the amount of software
included with purchase. You will be able to access , email applications
with AvantGo® Web Channel Manager and organize your day-to-day life
with Palm's easy-to-use date book, address book, and note pad. The e-mail application
requires you to go online through your
cell phone.
The Palm m105 runs off of 2 AAA batteries which will last you around 2
months with normal use. Although the Palm m105 doesn't include an
expansion slot, the universal Palm connector (connects newer keyboards and
digital cameras), and rechargeable batteries; for the $149 price tag you
can beat the value this palm pilot offers.
The biggest advantage of buying the Palm m105 or any Palm product in
general is the extensive online support you can receive through their
comprehensive database (Official site, which includes many downloadable
programs). Also, the 1 year warranty doesn't hurt either.
